EnviroKlenz donates air purifier to local middle school teacher
Mr. Garner was raising money on “Donor Choose” to buy an air purifier for his classroom
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 14, 2020) – Mr. Garner, a middle school teacher in Jacksonville, Fla., launched a “Donors Choose” campaign to raise money to buy an air purifier for his computer classroom in Duval County.
“I wanted to have something in my classroom that might settle some of the kids’ nerves, some of the parents, and my nerves,” he said.
Mr. Garner teaches coding and oversees digital projects of students from 6th to 8th grade at Duncan U Fletcher Middle School, where more than one third of students comes from low-income households.
EnviroKlenz, an air quality company located in Bonita Springs, Fla., was moved by Mr. Garner’s story and willingness to keep his students safe. The local company decided to step up and donate an Air System and one year of free filters to Mr. Garner’s classroom.
